Let's make the school year 2015-2016 a great year
Well,
its official the kids are back in school.
It’s a new school year for your babies going into kindergarten, junior
high school, and high school. For some
students it will be an adjustment and it will even be an adjustment for parents;
especially for parents with little ones going into kindergarten. They may cry and for some they may not and
leave the parents with tears that their little one is a big girl or big boy as
they wave good bye.
The
first day of school is so special and such a memorable day. I remember the first day my daughter went to
Kindergarten. I was nervous about her
riding the school bus and getting lost that I had to be there on the first
day. I think most employers expect new
parents with little ones going to school for the first time to take the day
off. It’s an emotional day for us
parents when our baby goes off to school for the first time. Has the teacher had to reassure you that your
son or daughter was in good hands before you would leave? Yes, this is hilarious now but we all know
each of us have been told this by the teacher or principal. We are excited about the new school year and what it will bring.

Now,
our middle school students and high school students it’s not as emotional as
kindergarten. However, you are just as
excited about them getting out of the house, off the phone, and off social
media to be actively learning in school.
You even encourage them to pick a sport and sign up for an after school
club. You want your children to be
actively involved in school and learn discipline by participating in a sport or
club. It’s time for them to adjust to
being back in school and on a different schedule of activities and even bed
time.
It’s
a new school year for college students and the emotions are high especially for
parents dropping their freshman off. We
experience the empty nest syndrome for the first 6 months, at least I did. Finding something to do as the house was
quiet until the first weekend they come home to do laundry. Back to school each year is different and
gets to become memorable each year until your babies graduate from high school
and go off to college.
“The future belongs to those who believe in
the beauty of their dreams.” Eleanor
Roosevelt
Make
it a great year of memories and teach them to soar high like an eagle, for
nothing is impossible that they cannot rise above. A new school year means new goals and new
friends to take with you on new adventures and journey called learning. As parents, keep encouraging your son or
daughter with affirmations of success.
Keep them positive, active, and believing in their dreams.
Welcome
back to school to all of our students for the 2015-2016 school years. What will you do to make your son or daughter
have a great year?
